We are pleased to share that Maksim Kos has been invited to present his research at the mini-conference organised as part of the Mikec Foundation Award competition on 20 October 2026 in Zagreb, Croatia.
His Master’s thesis, “Analysis of Hydrological Data Using Unsupervised Learning Methods”, explores the application of machine learning to hydrological data. The study compares K-means clustering, hierarchical cluster analysis and self-organising maps to investigate flood-wave shapes using historical data from the Sava River Basin in Croatia. The research was previously presented at the 49th MIPRO Convention (MIPRO 2026), held in Opatija, Croatia, from 25 to 29 May 2026.
